NHS Core Learning Unit

A Public Health Awareness online training programme has been developed by the NHS Core Learning Unit (CLU) aimed at everyone working across healthcare. This has been mapped to the KSF and Standards for Better Health. NHS staff can register online for the programme by clicking here (this will take you to an external website and will open in a new window).

The programme will help learners to understand how they can contribute to improving their own health ad the health of their families, colleagues, patients and the wider community.

The topics covered in the programme include: promoting public health; protecting people's health; food and health; physical activity; mental health and wellbeing; and tackling unhealthy behaviours (alcohol and smoking). These developments will complement the Win Programme and will also widen the range of public health training opportunities for staff in the region.
