Healthy Education Settings:Sharing Good Practice 2010

During this event delegates had the opportunity to hear about national developments and projects relating to healthy education settings including the HEFCE funded project Developing Leadership and Governance for Healthy Universities. The event included a series of ‘market stalls' showcasing examples of current practice from a range of organisations.  The market stall descriptions are available to download by clicking here.

A range of delegates attended this year's event from higher education institutions; further education colleges,  schools; PCTs, local authorities, student unions; and other interested parties.

Evaluation comments included the following:

The 2010 Health Honours Award was also presented during the event.  This award looks for innovative practice within institutions.  Applications are welcomed from higher education institutions, further education colleges and other partner organisations who have successfully contributed to the healthy settings approach within their organisation.   This year's winners were:

Higher Education Institution: Leeds Metropolitan University

Further Education College: Barnsley College

Partner Organisation:NHS Leeds, Leeds Metropolitan University Union, Leeds Trinity University College, Leeds University Union
