Strategic Review of Health Inequalities: Post-Implementation

Tuesday 02 March 2010, 09:30 - 15:30, Leeds Town Hall, Leeds

Description :

In September 2008 we held an event to inform delegates of the research team's progress on the Strategic Review of Health Inequalities Post 2010 (Marmot Review).  This event evaluated extremely well and there were a number of requests for Mike Grady to return at the implementation stage.

Dr. Mike Grady, Senior Research Associate at University College London is returning to host a second workshop on the Review.  This will give delegates an opportunity to find out how this will affect their practice and possible implications of the review. Mike Grady will be informing delegates of the content; how discussions informed the Review and highlight the possible implications.  He will also be on hand to answer any queries or concerns and will welcome comments on the piece of work.

We have also arranged for regional representation to discuss plans of how this will be implemented within Yorkshire and Humber, following a regional meeting with Sir Michael Marmot.  Delegates will be working with other colleagues from within their locality to discuss issues and strategies for implementation.

The Strategic Review of Health Inequalities Post 2010 (Marmot Review) will be launched on 12th February 2010 at the Review Conference in London. Details of how to attend can be found by clicking here (this will take you to an external website). Those who do wish to be involved are also invited to participate in the conference by posting coments and taking the conference poll before, during and after the event. Full details can be found on the above website.
